Earlier this year, Steve joined the Cold Control team as a Service Engineer based in the West Midlands.
Two months into his new role, we speak to Steve to see how he’s finding things.
Steve – Service Engineer
“I’ve worked for Cold Control since February as a Service Engineer and so far I’m really enjoying it.
“Prior to joining the Cold Control team I was doing the same kind of job but for a different company in the West Midlands.
“The team at Cold Control are really friendly and professional. I’ve been in the industry for around 18 years now and it’s refreshing when you get to work with such a nice company.
“I’ve been working on a number of exciting projects, the majority of which has been maintaining systems for Greggs, Côte Brasserie and The Ivy. If there’s a problem I can always give one of my colleagues a call who are always more than happy to help. It can be daunting as a new recruit but it’s nice to know other Cold Control Service Engineers and the senior team are there to support you.
“When not on the road, I’m required to call in to Cold Control HQ in the South every now and again for the theory side of things. It gives me the chance to meet other Service Engineers and shadow their work, which I find really useful.
“Outside of work, I’m a huge football fan which means I spend the majority of my time on the edge of my seat watching my beloved Wolverhampton team play; although, nothing beats spending time with my daughter. She’s an aspiring gymnast (doesn’t take after me!) and it’s great watching her at our local gymnastics club.”
